Develop affordable housing options to ensure that residents of all income levels can find suitable homes within the county.

Why the contribution is important

There is a huge problem in the UK with the lack of affordable housing, the council needs to commit to a programme of housebuilding for energy efficient, truely affordable homes for all.

    Completely agree, all the 'affordable homes' i see advertised at the moment are still way too expensive for the average family to afford.

    The mortgage rates are a big impact on house affordability, and unfortunately at the moment the cost of building a house has sky rocketed as the materials costs have gone up so much.

    We need more homes but we need to ensure they are not being built on precious areas of beauty or important animal habitats.
